",making it...,"這句逗號相隔的句子是補充,要找其修飾的對象, 發現歧意,修飾S=immigrants 2. that的用法:排除關係代名詞,因為"a United States citizan hold gold..."是 完整的句子;因為that不是帶出主詞或受詞關係子句 那會是連接詞嗎??that的代名詞用法參考google字典解釋: 如果that這裡是作為連接詞,則解釋了為何接了一完整句子 名詞子句的用法,可以參考此網址解釋: http://www.ycjh.hlc.edu.tw/~t311/moe/engb5/b5grammar/b5thatclause.htm 所以當連接詞錯誤;而且發現應該要解釋說明imprisonment, 所以此句跟imprisonment應該有強烈的緊密關係 選項B: 1. making it緊密跟著a law,沒有歧意 2. for+人(agent,動詞的施行者)+to V:不只緊跟著imprisonment,直接修飾; to V不定詞片語(for+施行者說明其S)指代說明it --
