請問各位對這篇文章某個段落的理解 17行的地方 When an ice age begins, the continental ice sheets grow,steadily reducing the amount of water evaporated from the ocean that will eventually return to it. Because heaiver isotopes tend to be left behind when water evaporates from the ocean surfaces, the remaining ocean water becomes progressively enriched in oxygen 18. 我的理解是:當ice age開始,海洋表面蒸發的總水量減少 而當海水表的的水分蒸發時,較重的O18則會被留下 使得海水的O18含量上升 依照以上的說法 ice age應該會因為蒸發較其它時期減少 所以O18含量會比其它時期低 但是文章後面段落又寫說 The higher oxygen18 to oxygen16 in a sedimentary specimen, the more land ice there was when the sediment was laid down. 跟上述的理解就互相矛盾了 不曉得是我自己本身的理解有問題 還是哪邊看錯了 還謝謝高手幫我指點一下 ~~ --
