Hi there. I would like to share my thought with you. I am kind of related to educational field before, because I majored in English Teaching back in colledge. However, the timing was not good for me and my classmate. Under the competitive situation, just a few of my classmates got to be a teacher. So I think you are really lucky. As to wishing to have closer relationship with your students and colleagues, I would like to suggest you not to think too much. Even though you are in school, you are "working" in school, not studying in school. And the society is just like this, the relationship between colleagues is mostly superficial. After I finished my internship, I entered into a trading company, most people are nice there, but I feel the same way you feel. It's hard to share with my colleagues like the time when we were students. So I think you just need to remain good relationship with them but don't wish too much on the closeness. Just let nature take its course, that would be good enough. I think it's really hard to find what we really want. Even a old man has a lot to regret about the past. However, it's always good to be aware of the concept of "What I really want?" and try to find an answer. Maybe in the end you still can not find a definate answer, but you gain a lot from the process of finding and pursuing. Isn't it? If you find what you want to do, you may apply for suspension without payment.
