標題[請益] themselves可以當副詞嗎?

問題1:or後面的are otherwise，are是動詞，動詞前面應該要+主詞，但是主詞跑哪去了?
問題2:any other functions是受詞，that are not themselves reentrant是一個句子。
受詞跟句子不能連在一起。
請問一下，這兩句的文法該如何理解呢?

抱歉，我講得清楚一點，any other functions是句子的受詞，受詞後面如果有繼續接東西
的話，那個東西就是受詞補語，用來修飾受詞的。
這邊的that are not themselves reentrant是受詞補語，但that are not themselves
reentrant是一個完整的句子，並不能當補語，除非+一個that變成子句。
所以正確的句子應該是: any other functions that that(functions) are not.....re-
entrant。
那如果要用這種寫法的話，為什麼不乾脆寫成any other functions which are not re-
entrant呢?
