我查了一下網路，有人說 seem 只要有四種用法
S + seem + adj
S + seem like + n.
S + seem that + (...)
S + seem to + V
可是我這句話感覺不出來是省略哪個字，
我覺得這句話應該寫成
She seems to be resigned to losing a race.
