→請問這裡的on one bothered to read them要怎麼翻譯呢？而且這裡為什麼是用them
呢？
2.The CEO tamped down the rumors of the company's impending sale.
→查到tamp down：press or push something down by lightly hitting it several
times，但用在這個句子還是不大清楚怎麼翻譯會比較好？
