標題關於檢查linux是否能夠用來寫程式....

請問一下
因為實驗室有現成的linux主機
所以我想請問一下
要怎麼樣才能檢查那些compiler, makefile和debugger有沒有被安裝好了呢?
另外，
Mac Server好像也是Unix-like based的，
是不是也能拿來寫作業....
