The Daffodils 詠水仙
I wandered lonely as a cloud 信步閒遊，似白雲縹緲，
That floats on high over vales and hills 把幽谷饞岩繞遍。
When all at once I saw a crowd 驀回首，水仙花開，
A host of golden daffodils 璨璨金盞一片。
Beside the lake, beneath the trees 綠蔭下，翠湖邊，
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze 迎風弄影舞蹁躚。
Continuous as the stars that shine 渾疑碧落銀漢，
And twinkle on the Milky Way 灑落繁星萬點。
They stretched in never-ending line 繞遍十里芳堤路，
Along the margin of a bay 錦花如帶望無邊。
Ten thousand saw I at a glance 似三千芳影臨風展，
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance 素首齊揚舞袖翩。
The waves beside them danced, but they 柔波拍岸似歡笑，
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee 怎比得，好花迎人笑靨嬌。
A poet could not but be gay 詞人對景心如醉，
In such a jocound company 無語悄凝眸；
I gaze---and gazed---but little thought 曾不念，憑般美景，
What wealth the show to me had brought 縱黃金萬兩焉能買?
For soft, when on my couch I lie 只今，閒倚翡榻無聊賴，
In vacant or in pensive mood 無端帳惘，幾度沉吟。
They flash upon that inward eye 驀記起當時夢痕，
Which is the bliss of solitude 添心頭無限溫馨；
And then my heart with pleasure fills 譜取一曲水仙辭，
And dances with the daffodils 凌波伴我舞輕盈。
