Davis, who made it known how unhappy he was to have been dealt from the Bulls, reported to the Knicks on Oct. 4. He left the next day to return to Chicago to be with his family while his mother-in-law had surgery. He is expected back today. "We're sensitive to it,'' Knicks president Isiah Thomas said of Davis' feelings. "He understands that he will be fined.'' Thomas also insisted that the Knicks would not buy out the final season on Davis' contract, which is worth $13.8 millon. "This isn't charity,'' Thomas said. There is a possibility the Knicks could release Davis at the end of training camp. He would have to wait 20 days before re-signing with the Bulls 由於一直想回Chicago的A.Davis持續表示他的想法， 而I.Thomas則表示如果A.Davis還是持續沒有來球隊的話，將予以罰款， 所以預料A.Davis將會回到尼克隊，不過仍不改其初衷， I.Thomas不打算將A.Davis的合約買斷， 不過最有可能的情形發展是Davis在訓練營後被尼克釋出， 而如果A.Davis想要回到公牛隊，必須依照規定於20天後， 公牛才可以重簽他。 --
