Davis, who made it known how unhappy he was to have been dealt from the Bulls, reported to the Knicks on Oct. 4. He left the next day to return to Chicago to be with his family while his mother-in-law had surgery. He is expected back today. "We're sensitive to it,'' Knicks president Isiah Thomas said of Davis' feelings. "He understands that he will be fined.'' Thomas also insisted that the Knicks would not buy out the final season on Davis' contract, which is worth $13.8 millon. "This isn't charity,'' Thomas said. There is a possibility the Knicks could release Davis at the end of training camp. He would have to wait 20 days before re-signing with the Bulls 由於一直想回Chicago的A.Davis持续表示他的想法， 而I.Thomas则表示如果A.Davis还是持续没有来球队的话，将予以罚款， 所以预料A.Davis将会回到尼克队，不过仍不改其初衷， I.Thomas不打算将A.Davis的合约买断， 不过最有可能的情形发展是Davis在训练营後被尼克释出， 而如果A.Davis想要回到公牛队，必须依照规定於20天後， 公牛才可以重签他。 --
