The Premier League have officially put all their eggs in Manchester United's
basket this afternoon. On Sunday, the Premier League trophy will be heading
to Wigan, while Chelsea will have to settle for a slightly ropey replica
should they win the title.
偉哉英足總正式的把所有寶都押注在這星期日的曼聯身上,英超獎盃將會送到威根去
,同時切爾西如果奪冠則是會得到一個略為粗糙的複製品.
A Premier League spokesman said this morning, "The practical difficulties of
the title race going into the final day of the season means that a Barclays
Premier League trophy will be on standby at both the JJB Stadium and Stamford
Bridge." Magic. Or a lie? Well, a lie. The real one's at Wigan.
偉哉英足總的偉哉發言人在今早說"困難的冠軍比賽要到賽季最後一天才會知曉,這代表
著英超獎盃星期天同時會出現在JJB球場跟斯坦福橋"這是偉哉魔術或是謊言?好吧,
是謊話,真的獎盃去威根了.
And it's not the first time the Premier League quietly backed United. Back in
1999, when Sir Ferg pipped Wenger by a point on the last day, the real trophy
was lurking at Old Trafford too, while the crappy version was knocking around
Highbury...
而且這不是第一次英超支持曼聯了,回到1999年,當時Sir.佛格森根溫格也是在最後一天
同積分,真的獎盃也是送到老特拉福了,而複製品則是出現在海布里.....
