The subterranean nature of the design has become increasingly apparent. Since the relocation of training to Surrey from Harlington in December 2004, the facilities have been housed in temporary buildings, albeit temporary buildings of the highest specification. It is a marked step-up from the old Harlington collection of sports pavilions and portacabins. Since then, 25,000 m3 of Surrey earth and other material have been removed, creating a large hole. One floor of the new training facilities will be entirely below ground level. Concrete is being poured in at the rate of up to 45 truck loads-a-day. In total 3,500 m3 of concrete will be used. The next stage in the 70 week project is the arrival of structural steel. Brasswork fins will form much of the walls. They will naturally weather and age so the building will look suited to the environment, much like an old church or hall. 有智慧玻璃，牆壁使用鰭狀的黃銅物。 On the roof will grow Sedum — a browny-green succulent plant, again to help the HQ to fit in.
