以下的文章從個人的部落格貼過來 先說明 我目前沒有宗教信仰 但也不排斥任何宗教信仰 虔誠的教友們可能會覺得書中部份的情節令人氣憤 但那畢竟只是本小說 撇除情節，書中的許多對話都很值得玩味 以下摘錄的對話只是其中一部份 書中還有更多類似的精彩對話 會把文章貼在這裡 是想看看有宗教信仰的人 對於這樣的對話，想法又是如何呢? ---- http://sandwichc-life.blogspot.com/2006/12/angels-demons.html 利用過去七週在成功嶺的時間，把向友人借來的Angels & Demons (天使與魔鬼) 給看完 了。喜歡The Da Vinci Code (達文西密碼) 的人應該會更愛這本。雖然故事的結局過於 牽強，但故事情節過程依然緊湊而精彩。 然而，今天寫這篇文章，並不是要告訴大家它的劇情有多緊張而懸疑。我想分享的，其實 故事情節以外，穿插在書中幾段激盪著智慧火花的對話。 Robert Langdon 剛遇上 Vittoria 時，問 Vittoria 對於宗教的看法 (Vittoria 是個頂 尖物理學家，她的老爸是個虔誠的天主教徒，同時也是頂尖物理學家)，兩人的對話如下 。 Langdon was intrigued. "So you're saying that whether you are a Christian or a Muslim simply depends on where you were born?" "那麼，妳認為一個人會是天主教徒或回教徒，就只是因為他出生在哪?" "Isn't it obvious? Look at the diffusion of religion around the globe." "這不是很明顯嗎? 看看世界上的宗教是怎麼分佈的。" "So faith is random?" "那，難道信仰就是這樣隨機決定的嗎?" "Hardly. Faith is universal. Our specific methods for understanding it are arbitrary. Some of us pray to Jesus, some of us go to Mecca, some of us study subatomic particles. In the end we are all just searching for truth, that wich is greater than ourselves." "不，信仰是舉世皆然的，而我們認識它的具體方法才是自己決定的。有些人向耶穌導告 ，有些人到麥加朝聖，有些人研究次原子粒子，但終究，我們的目標都是要尋找那個比我 們更偉大的真理。" 故事情節之外，作者藉由 Vittoria 的口中說出了一番令人印象深刻的看法。宗教與科學 ，不見得是兩條平行不相交的線。它們的目標是一致的，只是方法不同。 關於 "人類有沒有可能與上帝溝通" (或通靈)，下面這段對話也相當值得玩味。 "Father, why do you bother to pray? God cannot answer you." "爸，你何必老是祈禱呢? 神並不會回答你啊。" "As you probably know, Vittoria, human beings normally use a very small percentage of their brain power. Howver, if you put them in emotionally charged situations - like physical trauma, extreme joy or fear, deep meditation - all of a sudden their neurons start firing like crazy, resulting in massively enhanced mental clarity." "女兒啊，就像你可能已經知道的，人類通常只使用到大腦能力的很小一部份。然而，人 類在情緒激動的情境下，例如身體創傷、異常的喜悅或害怕，重度的藥物使用等，他們的 神經就會突然激烈地被啟發，因而使心智較平時清楚許多。" "So what?" Vittoria sid. "Just because you think clearly doesn't mena you talk to God." "那又怎樣? 想得更清楚不代表你就是在和神說話啊。" "Aha!" Vetra exclaimed. "And yet remarkable solutions to seemingly impossible problems often occur in these moments of clarity. It's what gurus call higher consciousness. Biologists call it altered states. Psychologists call it super-sentience." He paused. "And Christians call it answered prayer." Smiling broadly, he added, "Sometimes, divine revelation simply means adjusting your brains to hear what your heart already knows." We need only open our minds to hear our own wisdom. 佛陀說：我們每個人都是神。我們每個人都是全知的。我們所需要做的就只有敞開心胸去 聆聽本有的智慧。 Dan Brown 的這本 Angels & Demons，不但劇情張力更甚 The Da Vinci Code，故事之外 所表達的意涵也遠遠高出後者。宗教與科學是不是就代表天使與魔鬼? 兩者是不是 duality (同時存在的陰與陽)? 作者的智慧，在書內角色的對話中，歷歷可見。 --
