However you must not be mistakened : when I say "significance" because significance bears various facets. : When I was at your age, I, too, was in the struggle you are in now; : all that mattered in my life was all about competition and the yearning : how getting admitted by prestigious universities may change my life and make : it better. 我實在沒必要幫你改，但你教英文的，英文怎麼可以寫成這樣 我忍不住改了一段，讓你知道寫文章不要連單字mistaken也錯，不確定也不查字典 特別是一位英語教學者 你這是寫給你學生，這本是好的原意，但你是寫給"學生" 學生都看不懂，那你的本意不就只淪為賣弄 又更何況你的英文錯的胡塗 如果版主覺得這篇不妥請刪 (1)你第一句最後的that名詞子句在第一句裡無文法功能，say的受詞是nothing， 而你那個that子句是你為了語意而硬塞 (2)don't already know是什麼意思?到底是已經知道還是不知道，already沒有否定 (3)the significance [ the test mean to you] 你用名詞子句當同位語，但顯然這個 同位語並不是significance的補充說明，文法上有衝突，而且你主動不一致 可改： how significant the exam means to you 或： the significance of the exam (4)must not 是禁止，請用don't be mistaken by significance 另外mistakened是錯字，只有mistaken pp當形容詞用 (5)when I was your age ，沒有at (6)I,TOO,WAS.. too不適合放句中，而且還馬上放代名詞I後面，這是外行寫法，太像中文。 請用I also... (7)yearning是渴望，跟你要表達的struggle不合， 可用blind pursuit of prestigious ... (8)沒有how getting 只有 how to get... (9)片語get (be) admitted to 不是by (10) may change...前應該是主詞，可是你的主詞卻是一堆其他不能當主詞的結構 --
