不84 五鬼鬧宅從何來？(c) Where do the five house-haunting ghosts come from? 宣公上人開示於1970年12月14日 A Dharma Talk Given by the Venerable Master on Dec 14, 1970 恨、怨、惱、怒、煩五鬼鬧宅 The Five House-Haunting Ghosts of Hatred, Resentment, Vexation, Anger, and Aff lictions 為什麼說你心裡沒有鬼，外邊的鬼就沒有法子呢？外邊的鬼，是因為你裡面有鬼，外邊才 有鬼；你裡邊沒有鬼，外邊鬼進不來的。裡邊的鬼就是這五鬼––貪、瞋、癡、慢、疑， 也就是恨、怨、惱、怒、煩。恨人，就有個紅臉鬼；怨人，就有個黃臉鬼；惱人，就有個 白臉鬼；怒人，就有個青臉鬼；煩人，就有個黑臉鬼來了。你看！就這麼厲害！ Why do the ghosts outside have no means to disturb you once you clear the ones inside? Ghosts outside exist because you have ghosts inside yourself; when y ou do not have no internal ghosts, the external ghosts cannot come in. The int ernal ghosts are these five ghosts: greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and dou bt, or hatred, resentment, vexation, anger, and afflictions. Hating others bri ngs a red-faced ghost; resenting others brings a yellow-faced ghost; vexing ot hers brings a white-faced ghost; being angry at others brings a blue-faced gho st; annoying others brings a black-faced ghost. See for yourself! It’s that p owerful! 只要你裡邊動一動，你恨這個人，恨人，「我對這個人真是恨透他了！」恨從什麼地方來 ？從「愛」來的。沒有愛，就沒有恨；你對人生一種愛心，得不到了，就生出恨心。這一 生出恨心，紅臉鬼就來了。你要是不怕，就試一試看！怨人呢，「唉！他真對不起我，我 啊！對他那麼好，哼！他對我也太壞了！」就怨人，怨天尤人。甚至於天下雨，「你下這 麼大的雨，真是混帳！你這個天！嗐！」罵這個天，這就是怨天；尤人，「這個人真是壞 透了，我對他這麼好，他對我也不好！」就生出惱來了。 Let’s say your mind moves and gives rise to hatred toward someone, thinking, “I totally despise this person!” Where does hatred come from? It comes from “love.” Without love, there is no hatred. If you love someone but cannot hav e them to yourself, then you will become hateful, and the red-faced ghost will come. If you aren’t afraid, just give it a try! You may blame others, saying , “Ugh! He totally cannot hold it up to me! I treat him so well, yet he treat s me so poorly!” You may blame the heavens and accuse others. For example, wh en it rains, you exclaim, “What are you doing pouring so much rain down, you bastard! Darn you, heaven!” That is to blame the heavens. Accusing others is to say, “This person is bad to the bone. I’m so good to him, but he treats m e so poorly!” You give rise to vexations.
