標題[求救] 為什麼做實驗要使用剛斷奶雄性小鼠

我現在在讀一篇paper,
在材料與方法的部份說他使用
weaned male Swiss albino mice
請問為什麼要使用特定的、剛斷奶的雄性小鼠，
目的是什麼?
該paper 資料如下：
