記者詢問Stanton，魚雷棒是否就是他手肘受傷的原因（先前受訪時曾經提過肘傷原因是球
棒的改變）
Stanton的回答：「我知道你們想聽到什麼樣的故事，所以如果那是你們想要的，我不會說
。」
並表示離開傷兵名單後他會繼續使用魚雷棒

Stanton said he will use a torpedo bat when he returns from the IL.

另外快兩個禮拜前紐約郵報就有報導過Stanton疑似是更換球棒導致受傷
「似乎有人向Stanton推薦換個球棒，推薦者現已不在洋基體系。」
