Half Mile Radius 7/1(四)在The Wall http://www.halfmileradius.net/ http://www.myspace.com/halfmileradius 現場票300 站內跟我買預售票200 Half Mile Radius是一個由兩個美國人和兩個台灣人組成的樂團， 樂團成員目前分別住在台北和台南兩地。最初在2005年由主唱兼吉 他手Dan Harrington和鼓手Brian Giles組成，在2007由於吉他手 大酷的加入，決定性的在旋律性上升級了樂團的創作。 在2009年初錄製了他們的第一張CD並且開始在台灣各地巡迴演出。 2009年尾由於新bass手Tony的加入，樂團的風格開始融合成熟並走 向一種同時具有黑暗和明亮，旋律性和節奏性的融合。 樂團受到的影響包括The Doors、The Led Zeppelin、 The beatles 這些經典搖滾樂團，也包括一些現代的樂手如The White Stripes 、The Smashing Pumpkins、John Frusciante, 、Radiohead。 Half Mile Radius發展出一種優美旋律吉他聲線和強烈衝擊鼓拍所構 成的獨特聲線。預計在2010年暑假可以錄製第一張的完整 長度的專輯，並且計畫在2010年冬天在美國各地巡迴演出。 Half Mile Radius is a half-American, half-Taiwanese band based in Tainan/Taipei, Taiwan. Formed in 2005 by singer/guitarist Dan Harrington and drummer Brian Giles, their sound got a decidedly melodic upgrade with the addition of guitarist B .C. Kuo in 2007. They recorded their first CD in early 2009 and have been touring Taiwan ever since. With the addition of new bass player Tony Liu in late 2009, their sound has matured into a stable mix of dark and bright, melodic and crunchy. With influences including classic rock bands such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles, as well as modern artists like The White Stripes, The Smashing Pumpkins, John Frusciante, and Radiohead, Half Mile Radius has developed a unique sound characterized by melodic guitar lines and pulsing drum beats. They expect to record their first full-length CD in the summer of 2010, with plans to tour the USA in the following winter. --
