Formed in 2005 by singer/guitarist Dan Harrington and drummer Brian Giles, their sound got a decidedly melodic upgrade with the addition of guitarist B .C. Kuo in 2007. They recorded their first CD in early 2009 and have been touring Taiwan ever since. With the addition of new bass player Tony Liu in late 2009, their sound has matured into a stable mix of dark and bright, melodic and crunchy. With influences including classic rock bands such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles, as well as modern artists like The White Stripes, The Smashing Pumpkins, John Frusciante, and Radiohead, Half Mile Radius has developed a unique sound characterized by melodic guitar lines and pulsing drum beats. They expect to record their first full-length CD in the summer of 2010, with plans to tour the USA in the following winter. --
