With his voice cracking with emotion, Allen stood before the Blazers and told them he was proud. Proud of how hard they worked. Proud of how they stayed together. Their owner, as reclusive and shy as he is wealthy, was one of their biggest supporters. The players noticed how many games he attended – most estimated it at around 75 to 80 percent – which included regular season road games in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Denver, Phoenix and Golden State. “When we were 6-7-8 games below .500 and he was still sitting courtside, still with us,’’ Davis said. “When you have your owner backing you like that, it’s a good feeling.’’ ED說 "當我們低於五成勝率都還有六七場的時後，他仍然作在場邊與我們同在；當你 有這樣支持球隊的老闆時，這感覺很好" Added veteran Gerald Henderson: “All owners aren’t connected to their teams like that. He talked about how much hard work and being together can take you. I don’t know if he has a little cold, but throughout, it seemed like he was choked up.
