Hello all! Been Lurking in here for awhile, read this post, and figured I
could finally make myself useful. I translated the article omitting anything
that was not of our concern.(Non Rudy stuff):
Barcelona (Spain), July 4th- The future of Juan Carlos Navarro in the NBA
direct points to the Memphis Grizzlies, where his friend Pau Gasol plays. In
the mean time Barcelona will try to fill the void left by their star with
Spaniard Rudy Fernandez, currently playing for DKV Joventut...
Barcelona (el Barca) has decided to strongly pursue Rudy Fernandez after
slipping down in the draft much lower than what he expected (24th).
The next step for Barcelona is to start negotiations with Joventut. Rudy
Fernandez has a contract with Joventut until June of 2008 and has not
accepted to renew it after announcing his wish to try the NBA.
Like Navarro, Rudy Fernandez has a penalty clause (buyout) in his contract,
in his case 3 million dollars. This will be the first obstacle that Barcelona
will have to face, however there is one more: the duration of a hypothetical
contract.
The young and budding wing had decided to play one more year in Europe and
then make the leap into the NBA, but Barcelona is not interested in a one
year and done deal.
I feel that with their star leaving they will try to pursue Rudy hard. Lets
just hope Rudy's NBA hoop dreams and Sergio can help us land him next year.

由於Barcelona陣中的Juan Carlos Navarro將要加盟NBA，
所以他們想另外找一位球員來填補戰力，
他們看上了目前效力DKV Joventut的Rudy Fernandez(還有一年合約)，
Barcelona遇到的問題是Rudy Fernandez的買斷金額要3M，
本來Rudy Fernandez想完成最後一年的合約之後明年就到NBA打球，
但Barcelona隊希望買斷Rudy Fernandez合約之後他不是只有在Barcelona打一季而已，
也就是說Barcelona花大錢買斷合約之後希望能和他簽下複數年約。
另外提一下，現在對拓荒者不利之處在於
1.拓荒者沒辦法今年就買斷他的合約，因為NBA當局規定如果要買斷海外球員的合約，
買斷金額限定在0.5M，Rudy就算再加上他第一年新秀合約領的錢都不夠買斷。
2.Rudy到NBA之後領的薪水由於是第一輪後段新秀約，所以不會比Barcelona給的多，
Rudy會願意放棄那麼多錢到美國打NBA嗎？
這位作者現在覺得能讓他明年就來NBA的方法有兩個，
一個是他的NBA夢超越了金錢，第二個是他的好朋友Sergio Rodriguez，
現在就看這兩個因素能發揮多大的影響力，
不然Rudy Fernandez可能要等好幾年之後才有辦法到NBA打球。
最後，我覺得拓荒者應該不是這一兩天才知道這些事情，
很有可能選秀前就知道，但不知道還要選他的原因是為什麼？

Kevin Pritchard從選秀當天遇到和Rudy Frenandez相關的問題，
不是回答較模糊就是避開話題我猜原因可能和這個有關，
KP一向是比較低調的GM，在任何事情沒告一段落或是解決之前他通常不會講太多。
不知道這件事情他會怎樣處理？
(不過依昨天的消息來說Rudy和Barcelona簽複數年約的機率頗大的...)
