標題Abdur-Rahim will report on time

拓荒者前鋒 Shareef Abdur-Rahim 在星期二（9/28）表示他將會如期的參加
季前訓練營，為整個事件做一個結束。
他說：「我將會準時。」
Abdur-Rahim 在六月的時候承諾如果拓荒者不將他交易出去，他會堅持他的立
場（拒絕參加季前訓練營）。
但是在星期二（9/28）的時候，表示當時他相當沮喪，及不想傷害他多年的好
名譽。
他說：「I don't think ... that's the way I've carried myself.There's
no reason for me to go that way right now. ... I've been done with it.
I've come to the realization that I've just got to go play, contribute,
help the team.」
Abdur-Rahim，前明星球員，在去年 2 月一樁交易中來到拓荒者，卻一直在擔任
Randolph 的替補上掙扎，Abdur-Rahim 交易前在老鷹繳出 20.1 分、9.3 籃板，
但來到拓荒者後卻只有 10.0 分、4.5 籃板，上場時間也從 36.9 分鐘驟降為
22.8 分鐘。
Abdur-Rahim 對於他所扮演的角色，心情顯得相當低落，但是在夏天到來前，一
直沒有將他希望被交易的希望和堅持公開。
Abdur-Rahim 的名字被捲入多件交易傳言中，包括與 Kerry Kittles、Aaron Williams
、選秀權，以及最近的 Jason Kidd。
交易仍有可能，但是並非一定。
Abdur-Rahim 說：「I've really been off of that for a long time now,I was
frustrated for my own reasons. It doesn't make (sense) to really elaborate
on what my frustrations were. I know it doesn't help the team; it doesn't
help me.The best thing for everybody is for me to continue doing what I do.」
總管 John Nash 表示他希望見到 3 個前鋒的 rotation - Randolph、Miles 擔任大
小前鋒，Abdur-Rahim 則是大小前鋒的替補。Abdur-Rahim 比較希望能夠打大前鋒，
但是他在灰雄時卻是打小前鋒的位置。
Abdur-Rahim：「I just want to play,All that will take care of itself. I'm
just preparing myself to play. I'll be in shape. I'll be ready to play.
That's my responsibility. As far as all the rest of the stuff, that's up
to coach (Maurice) Cheeks. Whatever he decides to do, he decides to do.
Whatever he feels is best for the team is best for the team.」
Abdur-Rahim 在季前跟隊友、教練參加了在亞特蘭大的練習，接下來又參加在休士頓
的練習，其他拓荒者的球員有的只有參加一項練習。
Abdur-Rahim：「I've never been a part of that, where guys traveled to a city
they don't live in,Hopefully, it carries over to the season.」
Nash 說他注意到目前球隊正圍繞著一股較好的「professionalism」氣氛，因為去年
以西區第 10 名，和 21 年來首度沒有近季後賽的刺激。
重回季後賽看來難度增加了許多，雖然 Shaquille O'Neal 已經去東區，但金塊補進
Kenyon Martin，爵士補進 Carlos Boozer 和 Mehmet Okur，太陽補進 Steve Nash、
Quentin Richardson，火箭藉由交易也換到了 Tracy McGrady。
拓荒者最大的補強則是換到了 Nick Van Exel，簽回 Miles，及新秀 Sebastian Telfair
，在星期二（9/28）延長了與 Ratliff 的合約。
Abdur-Rahim：「I think we're still right there,If you think about how we
played at the end of the year ... we can compete with any team.」
星期一開始了訓練營，而 Abdur-Rahim 仍在這裡。
