Tell the fans: Don't worry. The good Nick will be there," Van
Exel said Wednesday from his home in Houston.
看到他這句話，算是放下心中的大石了！畢竟他算是在行為和態度
上有爭議的球員，不過他肯這麼說，算是一個自我保證了！:)
"The reason I had problems in Golden State was because of my
injury. I wasn't able to do what I had done in the past, and
that got me into moody mood swings," Van Exel said.
真的是這樣才讓他不高興的嗎？這點還是有請Warriors' fan 指點
了！:p不過既然都已經來到Portland，他大可換個心情，看是當個稱職
而極具暴發力的sixth man ；或是和MightyMouse 競爭starting PG 。
當然Nick的傷勢應該是沒有大礙了（至少從二月二十八日之後，他就沒
有上場比賽了，這段時間夠他復原了吧！至少在文章中是提到：
it's not
100 percent, but healing。:D），如果他能重拾在Lakers時期的極積
心，再差也有Mavericks 時期的”暴發力”（
XD）的話，對新球季的拓
荒者隊會有很大的幫助的。:)
The Blazers already have enough belief in Van Exel that coach
Maurice Cheeks says he plans on playing him 30 minutes a game
in a three-man rotation with point guard Damon Stoudamire and
shooting guard Derek Anderson.
由上面這一段來推測拓荒者隊未來的後場情況如下：
SG：Derek Anderson / Richie Frahm or Qyntel Woods
PG：Damon Stoudamire / Nick Van Exel / Sebastian Telfair
當然我知道Qyntel Woods以及Telfair 可能會得到極少的上場時間
，不過就Telfair 的部分，拓荒者隊是著眼於他的未來性，他倒可以從
這兩名veteran players 的身上學到很多驗經。當然等新球季結束後，
Damon 以及Nick的contract都會完結，屆時的拓荒者隊將會進入一個新
的境界。（到那時的團隊薪資僅$19.12million 左右）
Van Exel said he will probably wear uniform No. 19 with the
Blazers, because rookie Sebastian Telfair already has his
favorite No. 31. He chose 19 because two of his closest friends
in the NBA, Cassell and Damon Jones, wear 19 . . .
呵呵！沒想到他倒是肯禮讓後生晚輩呢！:)
