1982年的動畫，改編自彼得．畢格（Peter S. Beagl）於1968年發行的同名奇幻小說。
內容簡介：
很遠很遠的地方，有一隻獨角獸孤獨的居住在與世隔絕的不老森林裡，後來從獵人的口中得知她是世界上唯一僅剩的獨角獸，她不敢相信這件事情，於是她離開了生活已久的故鄉──不老森林，來到了凡塵俗世，為了要找尋自己的族類。初踏入俗世的獨角獸懵懵懂懂，被抓到馬戲團裡，後來被一位法力不怎樣的魔法師相救，一行人前往黑暗城堡解救其他的獨角獸。
原來，其牠的獨角獸就是被城堡中的紅牛給禁錮了。眼盲的紅牛，嗅出獨角獸的氣味，就在牠追逼最後獨角獸的千鈞一髮時，魔法師將她變為女人而逃過一劫。變為女人的獨角獸，和黑暗城堡的王子墜入愛河，漸漸的她忘了其他被困的同伴，也忘了離開不老森林的目的。雖然她逃過紅牛的前一次追捕，但是不死心的紅牛還是找到了她；恐懼和害怕的陰影在獨角獸的心中揮之不去，她不願意變回獨角獸與紅牛對抗。
魔法與勇氣之間的對抗，愛情與命運之間的拉扯，獨角獸面臨最嚴苛的挑戰，她的內心承受著莫大的壓力....。

雖然是很久以前的動畫，但是畫面和故事都很美，很令人喜愛。
不過問題是…沒有中文字幕啊…Q口Q
附帶一提的是，原著也非常好看。
