1982年的动画，改编自彼得．毕格（Peter S. Beagl）於1968年发行的同名奇幻小说。
内容简介：
很远很远的地方，有一只独角兽孤独的居住在与世隔绝的不老森林里，後来从猎人的口中得知她是世界上唯一仅剩的独角兽，她不敢相信这件事情，於是她离开了生活已久的故乡──不老森林，来到了凡尘俗世，为了要找寻自己的族类。初踏入俗世的独角兽懵懵懂懂，被抓到马戏团里，後来被一位法力不怎样的魔法师相救，一行人前往黑暗城堡解救其他的独角兽。
原来，其牠的独角兽就是被城堡中的红牛给禁锢了。眼盲的红牛，嗅出独角兽的气味，就在牠追逼最後独角兽的千钧一发时，魔法师将她变为女人而逃过一劫。变为女人的独角兽，和黑暗城堡的王子坠入爱河，渐渐的她忘了其他被困的同伴，也忘了离开不老森林的目的。虽然她逃过红牛的前一次追捕，但是不死心的红牛还是找到了她；恐惧和害怕的阴影在独角兽的心中挥之不去，她不愿意变回独角兽与红牛对抗。
魔法与勇气之间的对抗，爱情与命运之间的拉扯，独角兽面临最严苛的挑战，她的内心承受着莫大的压力....。

虽然是很久以前的动画，但是画面和故事都很美，很令人喜爱。
不过问题是…没有中文字幕啊…Q口Q
附带一提的是，原着也非常好看。
