However, the 25-year-old hitman has been given the chance to re-launch his career under former mentor Cesare Prandelli after completing a ￡12m move to the Stadio Artemio Franchi. 「I know Alberto well and his statistics show what he can do if we get him back to his best after a testing season at Milan,」 Prandelli maintained. 「He suffered under the pressure of the unique place that is Milan and I am sure that he will return to the Gilardino of 2006 in Florence.」 Gilardino played under Prandelli at Verona and Parma and will also link up with former strike partner Adrian Mutu – a prospect that he finds mouth-watering. 「I am very happy,」 he roared. 「It is a marriage made in heaven.
