wn to be an effective and reliable method for modelling the topography of the
Earth surface. Lidar records the coordinates of point and intensity, dependent
on range, incident angle, reflectivity of object, atmospheric condition, and
several external factors. The intensities from different scanned flight strips
is not stable also. Due to the system- and environmental- induced distortions
, airborne lidar intensity data requires certain correction and normalization
schemes to maximize the benefits from the collected data for constructing spat
ial information. Hence, in this investigation we utilize intensity and other l
idar features for land cover classification.
