各位大大好，小弟我因为要向说NUS的教授提问，所以拟了一个问题
以下列出我的中文原文，和我自己翻的英文，请大大替我看看...
有没有不顺或是可以改进的地方！谢谢！
问：在进行重新建设之前，是否政府有像美国一样，举行公听会，来汲取民众、学者的意
见呢？或者是政府一意孤行，直接拆除？？
My question is: before the destruction and reconstrustion, did the
goverment held any seminar to discuss this issue with its citizens and
scholars? Or the goverment just tore dwon everything, without the
paticipation of its people?
