This paper presents a Computer Aided Planning (CAPP) algorithm for the shoe
mold. The CAPP system included both the information of limitative definition
and the automation processes of machining strategies. Both of them are to
make the calculation of tool path more reasonably and efficiently. However,
to the shoe mold, its characteristic is varied and complex, we improved the
weakness of the traditional machining algorithm, and combined the result in
the CAPP application.
