要翻译这句话: 狗是人类最好的朋友
Dogs are man's best friend/ friends.
我的疑问是: 这边的补语friend 要用单数还是复数?
我的想法是:
用单数感觉上比较合乎语意.
用复数感觉上是因为要跟复数主词做结构上的呼应.
用google查出来的笔数, 单数或复数都很多人用.
此外,在瀚林Book4 Unit2的Reading中,
有一段写着:
We bought some snacks at the supermarket there.
My favorite ones are the pineapple cakes－
they are the most delicious snacks in the world.
若结论是单复数皆可,那麽,
课本上用snacks, 是否写snack也对呢?
