标题[问题] 独立分词构句(absolute participial construction)

想请教各位一个关於独立分词构句的问题:
My sister being ill (As my sister was ill),we stayed at home.
The agent being absent (As the agent was absent),the business was suspended.
请问以上2句的"being"可以省略吗?
我不太确定~因为我查到的资料只说在It being和There being的情况下being不能省略
Ex:
It being too late (As it was too late),we left the party.
There being no taxi (Because there was no taxi),we had to work.
而这两句的being就要保留
关於如何使用独立分词构句不是很了解,请各位多多指教罗~
