标题[问题] 什麽是INS documentation

恩~ 是这样的
我申请 Ohio state University 的MS
但他们的 Office of Graduate and Professional Admission
却寄了一封信
以下是内容:
On your application, you listed that you hold prtmanent resident,refugee
,parolee, or asylee status. Because you also listed address information
outside United States for either yourself ot your relative, we require
that you submit appropriate INS documentation to Student Consolidated
Services Center in order to determine your visa status.
嗯嗯~本身 有拿到绿卡
(并非从小而是正好在当兵前，所以目前生活都是以台湾为主，
而米国那里 也没有住的地方)
所以 很疑惑 INS documentation 是什麽?
是保险的意思吗? insurance
感谢有经验的人可以替我解惑
