We respect the opinions of EmBlack, and others who feel that any political solution is playing into the machinery of war and exploitation . ( that is how I read her point of view in this issue ) We also know that there is a lot that we don't know ( ha ! ) and we are grateful for your time and communication on this matter. We live in a country which uses free speech as a kind of sleeping pill. We also have a democracy which favors the rich and their profits over all other liberties and lives. So, we take to heart the debate regarding this show, and our participation. Nationalism, and racial division are certainly not social ideas that we want to support, however unconsciously. . .. This said, we are still going to perform and speak out, and not compromise our message OR this opportunity to play our songs for many, many, Taiwanese. . .
