The Dreamer I lay for hours, reaching for the shadows. I am the insomniac dreamer, light and dark. Bring me to the water, a deep soul diver. I wish only sometimes to find my grave, cleverly hidden beneath the dark seaweed. Watch me step to the cliff's jagged edge. all that you see in me, there is no fear. The dusty rocks beneath, silently beckon. I remember not the name, only that it is mine. Paint me a bright world of enchanting chaos. Slowly I will walk a twisted path of madness. Smile if you will, I won't bother to believe. My hand passes through the beauty found, while I am left alone with my blood and tears. Gently, lay me down in the brilliant desert. Stars dance elegantly to an unknown harmony. Haunting memories of the swans' sweet grace. Falling through the burning sands of time, unto a tangled tapestry of sticky grayness. Cut the thread, I beg of you, only this night. For the dreamer shall awaken, to a new day, caged in a translucent and mangled reality.
