新板开张，知名度比度不足，我就来当个引言人吧。 昨天刚回澳洲，正忙着找房子，所以可能还有点语无伦次。 目前为止，在板上已经看到了美国、英国相关的口译员或留学生， 我也来谈一下澳洲的口译，澳洲的口译其实主要以社区口译为主， 口译员必需通过NAATI的专业级认证考试，才具有口译员的资格， 社区口译主要以医院与法庭为主，这是由於法律上保障非英语母语人 士的权利，规定病人与被告有权要求使用口译员，并由政府付费。 我刚参加完2006年校内办的口译考试(NAATI采认)，考试其实非常 困难，侥幸通过。此考试其实只认证了交替(逐步)口译，同声(步)传译 我想要以AIIC为目标。 商业口译在澳洲并不多见，这和台湾类似，我想应该也是由少数菁英 垄断。今天刚好看到一个口译广告： The position: You will be required to interpret communications between parties, provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretations of conversations or speeches and orally translate written texts. You will have: ‧ Excellent command of English, both written and verbal ‧ Accreditation with NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) ‧ able to interpret at least one other language (preferably Vietnamese, Arabic, Cantonese, Greek, Mandarin but not limited to) ‧ able to work accurately and objectively ‧ broad general knowledge ‧ good concentration skills ‧ high memory retention ‧ understanding and acceptance of different cultures. ‧ confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people --
