浸礼会信徒，提案在美国宪法中加入了”政教分离”条文，
卫理宗与其衍生的圣洁会与五旬节派..等等教派，不再与暴行有关，
而过去曾经与暴行有关联的宗派，也公开道歉，并且谴责暴行，
我认为都是摆脱历史共业，还原基督教本质的好方法。
这个连结讨论原始基督教的提倡和平与反对报复的主张，引用了很多经文，
及很多早期文献。
由以下得知，西元300年以前，并没有神学依据支持以宗教为名的暴行的藉口，
使用暴力的行为是被众多知名神学家广泛反对的。
耶稣从未教导，可以进行以宗教为名的暴行，以宗教名义进行屠杀暴行，
触犯十诫第三诫”不可妄称神的名”与第六诫”不可杀人”。

Athenagoras: 基督徒挨打不还击，一脸挨打，另ㄧ脸也让别人打。
