My friend (someone I went to a tennis academy with down in Florida who lives in Atlanta, Georgia) called me today and told me she saw and met Serena Williams yesterday morning in Atlanta, Georgia at a public, outdoor tennis park/facility. She said Williams was hitting with a young guy and looked to be in what she described, and I'll quote, as "a hell of a lot better form and shape than when I watched her in Australia." All she got out of it was a quick autograph and "hello, how are you?" before she left her alone. *crosses fingers that this means Serena will be playing at Charleston* Just thought I'd post this, seeing as how the current word is that Serena no longer believes in picking up a racquet. -- --
