标题the problem with Stoicism

..is that you can never tell what COULD BE under your power.
Some things that seemed to be out of human's power has become under human's
power. And you shall never know what has the potential and what has not.
Take one of Epectitus's example: "You can not control your wife. but you can
control your reaction to your wife".
this seems not true, at least for B.F. Skinner (1904-1990) or many others
schools.
