I'm a tall Scottish (UK) guy living in Taiwan.

现况: Single guy, PhD, interested in meeting tall, smart women in Taiwan :-)
系所专业:Working as Asst. Prof. at a Taiwanese University teaching computers.
兴趣: Badminton, martial arts (not recently), reading, photography, computers,
healthcare/medical research, finance, artificial intelligence, travelling,
asian films (especially Stephen Chow / Hong Kong Comedy), science, scifi.

Hi everyone!
I'm from the UK, but I've moved to Taiwan permanently
(or at least, for the foreseeable future)
and I'm working at university here, teaching computers, AI, etc.
I've been here for 18 months so far. Unfortunately, all my work has to be
taught in English, so I don't get many chances to practice or learn any
Chinese. So, my Chinese is pretty terrible, so far. Gradually it's getting
better :-)
I'm living in Taiwan because it feels more like my real home, than living
in the UK. People are more friendly, everyone loves technology and comic
books, and people like the same sports as me. It's a great place to be.
It is so cool to find this BBS and especially find a forum for tall people.
I have been looking for a group like this for so long - over a year now.
So, it's nice to meet you all.
I hope you will excuse me if I ask if anyone knows a tall female friend who
is currently single and looking for a nice guy to make friends with or date.
Being honest, it's my main reason for writing in this forum.
For 18 months I've tried to find "Ms Right" ^_^...
I've met so many nice people here, but all the women I've met are too short
for me, or maybe not the kind of women I want to date.
I'm not ugly or nasty or old. :-)
I just want to wait for the right person and get it right first time.
I'm hoping to meet a tall, intelligent, woman in Taiwan.
For friendship, or long term relationship only.
- TALL! 170cm+, 175cm+, 180cm+ ...
- Ideally PhD or MD, or at least Master's degree.
(I know there are many types of intelligence, but this is the kind I'm
looking for... sorry!)
Ideally a nice person; kind personality; patient; loyal; trustworthy.
Ideally can speak some English.
Ideally good-looking. But western guys maybe have different tastes :-)
Ideally sporty/healthy: maybe badminton, volleyball, basketball, martial art?
I appreciate that everyone thinks westerners have a really easy time
meeting women in Taiwan. Actually, it's completely untrue. The kind of
women that hang out in bars really aren't the kind I'm looking for.
Living here, I understand what Asian guys mean when they say 'orz'.
It's hard to find the right partner.
I hope someone here doesn't mind helping me.
