Malik Hairston Named D-League Player Of The Week, Signs With Spurs

Malik Hairston of the Austin Toros was today named the NBA D-League Performer
of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 15, 2008.
In a related move, Hairston signed with the Spurs.
Hairston led the Toros to three straight wins this week, averaging 24.7
points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while tying a season-high when he
scored 33 points in Thursday's win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He
finished the week 27-of-46 from the field (.587). The Toros have now won six
consecutive games.
