Carlos Almanzar, Doug Brocail, Frank Francisco and R.A. Guys like Nick Regilio, Kameron Loe, Josh Rupe, Travis Hughes, Thomas Diamond and John Danks, among several others, represent a hopeful present and the future for the franchise. Until the youngsters are ready, veterans like Rogers and Astacio will not only bridge the gap, but contribute to the club on and off the field. Moreover, with such a powerful lineup, the pitching staff only has to be average in 2005, but as they showed in 2004, the hurlers as a whole can be above average.
