At 6'2", 205 and extremely athletic, he could be a very good 3B due to soft hands and smooth movements. He's handled shortstop at the high school level but will be a 3B at the next level. On the offensive side, Trey can rake. The smooth swinging righty should have an above average bat with above average power as well. He's not a burner but he has solid average speed. He is a fluid athlete who can make hard plays look easy as he showed at the Under Armour Game at Wrigley Field in 2011. His arm is very good and would be an asset at 3B, LF or RF. He slipped in the 2012 draft due to his signabilty concerns and his lethargic on field play. I had him ranked 24th in the 2012 draft even with the other concerns. The commitment to Pepperdine is no longer an issue so his play this spring will likely be the major influence in his draft position in the 2013 draft. It could be as high as the 15th pick and as low as not getting drafted. He's physically mature and has good baseball instincts.
