Holdover assistants Pat Sullivan and Darrell Walker, who are both coaching the summer-league team, are assured spots on new coach John Kuester’s staff, but the franchise is in the market for a lead assistant and Hill would fit the bill. Currently an assistant for the New Jersey Nets, Hill was the head coach for Orlando for two separate stints. Kuester was on Hill’s Magic staff during the 2006-07 season. If hired, Hill would bring more than 30 years of experience to the Pistons bench. Kuester was picked last week to replace Michael Curry, who was fired after one season.
