[题目] Sally and Sam's spaceship (each of proper length 230m) pass each other
with constant speed v. Sally measures a time interval of 3.57x10^-6 sec for
Sam's ship to pass her. What's the relative Beta(=v/c) between Sally and Sam?
[瓶颈] 我的想法是,先做Lorentz's transformation算出Sally看Sam的长度L',所以
Sam pass Sally的时间就是(L'+230m)/v = 3.57x10^-6 sec;由此算出Beta。但是题目是
说proper length = 230m,所以我搞不太懂230m到底是Lorentz's转换前还是转换後的长
度;也就是说我不知道是要用罗伦兹转换算Sally看Sam移动中的长度,还是要由移动中转
换到静止长度。麻烦板上强者帮忙了,谢谢。
