1.A wheel is rotating freely about a vertical axis
with constant angular velocity.
Small parts of the wheel come loose and fly off.
How does this affect the rotational speed of the wheel?
Is angular momentum conversed? Is kinetic energy conversed??
Explain..
2.Why is it that at most locations on the earth,a plump bob
does not hang precisely in the direction of the earth's center?
3.Why is it not possible to sit upright in a chair and rise to
your feet without first leaning forward?
4.Examine how a pair of scissor or shears cuts through a piece of
cardboard. Is the name "shears" justified?? explain.
