这是我们之前顺利要求到延展，最後也顺利被 accept 的信件范例
Dear Dr. xxx（编辑）,
Our thanks to you and the reviewers for their thoughtful review of our
manuscript. We would like to request an extension until 日期 for
the resubmission of our manuscript.
Reviewer 2 asked for an additional experiment that we agree would greatly
contribute to our findings. Our data suggest that 简述一下须要补做的实验
原本的论据。The reviewer asked us to test a hypothesis that
须要额外验证的内容。We have preliminary data supporting this hypothesis,
but 简述为甚麽须要额外时间。
Please let me know if you need any additional information to consider this
request.
