在1969NOV 30的漫画中有部份内容。该漫画是星期天特别版，第一格便画出该书 。不过不如板大先前说言之封面，只是很普通的蓝皮加上白底黑字的书名。 第二格是Snoopy坐在狗屋上打字的情景。以下依序以文字方式还原该天漫画：（ 借用板大打的字） It was a dark and stormy night. 以上为第三格 Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly, a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. 上面三行全挤在第四格中。第三格和第四格均是打字场景 Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.
