Global Citizen:
What Do I Have to Do with AIDS?
A butterfly flaps its wings in the rain forest and sets off an
infinite chain reaction, affecting events thousands of miles away.
Globalization has an impact on us all.
The internet connects people, so do diseases. AIDS has killed nearly
30 million people since 1981. Each day 6,000 people get infected and
about 12 million children in Africa are AIDS orphans.
Think that's none of your business?

A beautiful and successful female journalist, certainly not what
people may imagine when they think of someone with HIV. Infected at
the age of 28, Regan Hofmann has been living with it for 10 years.
