标题[北美] 请问OPT期间的part-time job

因为实验室老板以为我毕业之後就不能当他的part-time research assistant，
刚一直在找白纸黑字的规定要秀给他看，证明我OPT期间可作part-time工作。
刚在这份文件里

的7.2章节发现它这麽说：
7.2. Employment allowed while on OPT
7.2.1. What types of employment are allowed for regular pre- and
post-completion OPT?
.......
For students
who are not on a
STEM extension, this employment may include:
* Paid employment. Students may work
part-time
(at least 20 hours per week when on post-completion OPT) or full-time.
* .....
这是整份文件我唯一找到有提到 part-time 工作的地方。不过我担心的问题在於，
它是 "For students who are not on a STEM extension"，
但我的领域是属於工程类，且10/1我的OPT才要开始，
所以我并不符合"not on a STEM extension"？因此我不能做part-time job？
如果我的解读是对的（当然我希望是错的 >"<），是不是想靠part-time工作、
甚至当慈善机构的志愿者，来达到90天内不需离开美国的想法是错的？
一定要找到full time job才行？
麻烦板友帮我解惑一下，谢谢

1F：推 mm1:我的理解是，STEM extension指的是STEM科目学生在正常OPT一年 07/10 05:08
2F：→ mm1:後加长的那段期间不可做part-time。所以在原本的OPT一年内 07/10 05:09
3F：→ mm1:不管什麽科系的学生都可以做paid/unpaid的PT or FT工作 07/10 05:09
