呵呵我真的超爱他的言谈的:D 以下是我的节录 ------------------------------------------------- "It's not like you win an Oscar, and you can charge 40 million dollars for your next film. The ticket price won't suddenly be going up at Oasis gigs. Although that's not a bad idea!" 「(领取全英音乐奖)又不像得到奥斯卡，在下一部电影就可以多领个4千万片酬， (就算我们得奖) Oasis 演唱会的票价也不会突然水涨船高啊，虽然这个主意 听起来真不错！」 ---Noel从来不避讳音乐生涯以来现实铜臭的一面，各种业界体制内的操作和考量 "With the greatest respect to Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Bob Geldof and the Bee Gees, when they got it, their star had waned considerably. We had two number-one singles last year, we're punching our weight with the young kids, we still look good." 「对於历届杰出成就奖的得主我有最高的敬意，但是说实在的他们拿奖的时候 光环魅力早已不再。我们去年有两支冠军单曲上榜，和年轻小伙子们还有的拼， 我们依旧维持在最佳状态。」 ---Noel 最在意的就是 "look good" 了吧(在巡回影片首映会上也频频询问歌迷 自己看起来怎样^^)，简单的两个字，却道出了摇滚乐手的迷思和必要的挣扎 「什麽时候会 burn out？什麽时机又该 fade away？」 "Thom Yorke sat at a piano singing, 'This is f***ed up' for half an hour. We all know that, Mr Yorke. Who wants to sing the news? No matter how much you sit there twiddling, going, 'We're all doomed', at the end of the day people will always want to hear you play Creep. Get over it." Even friends and allies come in for the patented Gallagher brand of scorn: "It's the same with U2. Play One, shut the f*** up about Africa." 这两段提到 Tom Yorke 和 U2 的爆点，其实也不过是指出音乐创作和歌迷期待之间的 落差和现实，无论创作者多想摆脱过去的东西尝试新方向，到头来还是发现最受欢迎 最能引起歌迷共鸣的依然是以前的亮点。大家还是比较想听到 "Creep" 或者 "One" 这种乐团的必杀国歌。另外 Noel 一向支持「好的摇滚乐 = 逃避主义」，所以像 Yorke 或者 U2 近年来藉由音乐连结现实议题，无论是现代生活、生态环保或是种族政治 都是 Noel 这种摇滚基本教义派所看不惯的邪门歪道:P "Before we came along, success was a dirty word. We kind of reinvigorated ambition. As dumb-arse a message as it was, looking back now, it was 'Things are s***, so we might as well celebrate something – let's celebrate being young.' 「在我们出现之前，『成功』是个令人不堪的脏话。而我们似乎替『抱负』这个字注入了 新的活力，现在回想起来其实我们传递的讯息是那样的简单『什麽都是狗屁，那我们 乾脆来自己起哄庆祝──就一起庆祝年轻的感觉吧。』 "There was a euphoria in the music and the way it was delivered, and, as the crowds started to get bigger, it fed off itself until it became less about the band and more about being with all those people, jumping up and down, drunk to the music." 「我们的音乐和它被传达的方式总是带有一种令人兴奋喜悦之情，然後随着歌迷群众 越来越多，整个的氛围和魔力反而不是在乐团本身上，而是在於和这麽一大群人同在， 跳上跳下，随着音乐一起喝醉。」 "It's let down by the fact that everybody's too eclectic.....That's the death of cool right there. You can't be a mod and a rocker. You have to choose sides." 「(新一代的乐团和歌迷)令人失望的地方在於每个人都太过折衷交混了， 那正是『酷』之将死的徵兆。你不能同时当个摩德族又当个摇滚人，你必须要选边站。」 ---Noel 很坚持 Mods 和 Rockers 之间的区别和对立，这边是指文化上而非音乐 简而言之 Mods 极注重打扮品味，窄版的西装外套和长裤，针织领带和手工皮鞋， 为了骑乘小绵羊所穿的军用大衣，到後来的 Fred Perry + 窄身牛仔裤； 相较之下 Rockers 的皮衣皮裤和重型机车就显得粗矿俗气许多。另外 Mods 族群 象徵的是对於现实贫困苦闷的反动以及自我形象的重塑，所以即使没啥钱途 还是要把自己打扮的有型特出，不向现实屈服低头。Noel 感叹的是现在每种风格的 独立性不再，因为流行的是「混搭」交融(无论是音乐或者服装)， 虽然或许激荡出新的火花，但是也失去以往那种鲜明强烈，圈圈内特有的仪式魅力。 "But I'm glad it got like that. We went for it, and pushed it to the point that it could not get any bigger, it couldn't get any more mad, you couldn't get any more fur in this coat if you tried, the shades couldn't be any more mirrored, they're mirrored on the insides." ---这边不知道要怎麽翻译才好，但是我很爱最後那两句话，Noel用来比喻 在全盛时期到了一种高峰和境地，已经无法再想像後续，就像太阳眼镜 已经不能再反射，因为就连向内的镜片也是无止境的映像 "Somehow I don't really see me at the Borderline playing a mouth organ to 150 people on a Wednesday. Every time I write a song, I envisage them in football stadiums with loads of people going f***ing mental. And that's Oasis." 「无论如何我无法想见星期三的平日，自己在百人的场地对着观众吹奏口琴， 每当我写歌总是想像它们在万人的足球场让许多许多的歌迷疯狂，这才是 Oasis。」 ---Noel 谈到无法预见的单飞生涯和心里始终坚持骄傲的绿洲模式 --------------------------------------------------------------- Cheers!
